I'd say treat most blaster based weapons like slug throwers, but apply the relevant modifiers for being energy weapons. Finally, unskilled users who really botch their roll ( fail by 6 or more) might risk cutting off one of their own limbs. There would be a special Melee skill just for their use, of course, perhaps only pickable by Jedi (psi-warriors). I suppose one could suggest lightsabers ignore most armor, but that seems moot if you set the damage high enough. Pretty basic to write up the hurling technique might require a telekinesis check and power write-up, but that would be about it. Likewise, high Balance applies its bonus to light side use and becomes a penalty to dark side use.Ī close combat weapon that does 6D6 damage and can be thrown. It provides die modifiers like a normal attribute, but negative modifiers are penalties to good force use and bonuses to dark side powers. Balance changes when particularly good or bad acts are committed high Balance favors the light and low Balance reflects the darkside. I'm thinking an additional attribute called Balance could be developed. Characters would all have Force as a trait instead of Psi Strength, of course. Also, I would suggest that when using psionics (we'll just call it the Force instead) that the user applies the Effect modifier as a reduction in cost to the Psi Strength. I'd suggest the psi-warrior career path is good for Jedi (although a specific Jedi path could be created, alternatively). The psi powers for Traveller are surprisingly inclusive, but the Psi Strength cost can make fancy Jedi stuff expensive. Referees could apply some youth modifiers to stats if so desired. Another way to look at it would be that players roll 2D6 to see when their career paths start: 2-3 age 10 4-9 age 18 10-12 age 14. Each character should be allowed a "pre-career career" covering their growth from age 14-18 or even younger if the GM agrees. I was thinking about what changes would be necessary to kick-start a Star Wars-ized version of a Traveller game in to gear, and the following very basic modifications/additions occured to me: With the new Traveller, I realized that pretty much everything you could need to run a Star Wars game using the Traveller rules is right there, built in already. Limited Run Games is giving Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic a physical Switch release! Alongside our Switch Standard Edition, Premium & Master Editions will be available for both PC and Switch. Here’s what the folks at LRG had to say about it on Twitter.
We’re happy to report that they have teamed up with Limited Run Games and are bringing out a physical release. As one might expect, new developer Aspyr didn’t stop at the digital release. We all know that the all-time classic Star Wars game, Knights of the Old Republic, originally developed by BioWare, got rereleased onto Switch not that long ago as of the time of writing.
